Listen To Audiobook For Free: Try Amazon Audible

If you love reading books but can’t find much time to actually read, how about listening to books instead? Try Amazon Audible. Audible is an Amazon company that sells and produces spoken audio content.  Audible is an American online audiobook and podcast service that allows users to purchase and stream audiobooks and other forms of spoken word content. This content can be purchased individually or under a subscription model where the user receives "credits" that can be redeemed for content monthly and receive access to a curated on-demand library of content. Audible is the United States' largest audiobook producer and retailer. The service is owned by Audible, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.

Audible has a catalog of over 200,000 audiobooks and a mix of bestselling Indian and international authors. Whatever your passion, your interests, or favourite authors, there’s a perfect audiobook for you. You can listen to A-list celebrities narrate their favourite stories, original & exclusive audiobooks, full-cast performances, and more. While Audible offers a wide range of content, including radio and TV programs, the company is best known for its offering of what could once be called “books on tape” — now known as, more appropriately, digital audiobooks. Launched over 25 years ago, Audible can help you grab your favorite audiobooks on Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, and Kindle, with the push of a download button.

Audible's content includes more than 200,000 audio programs from audiobook publishers, broadcasters, entertainers, magazine and newspaper publishers and business information providers. Content includes books of all genres, as well as radio shows (classic and current), speeches, interviews, stand-up comedy, and audio versions of periodicals such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

The free library Audible is offering is equally impressive. You have more than choices, including classics like Harry Potter, Jack and the Beanstalk, Aesop’s Fables, Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, Black Beauty, Bambi, Atlas Shrugged, Moby Dick, Paradise Lost, Hamlet, The Jungle, and The Canterbury Tales. If you want to catch up on a classic, or share one of your favourites with the entire family, this is a great opportunity.

  1. audible is not FREE. It is not covered by Amazon's Prime Membership. This is misleading. - you can get a "free" 30 day trial -after that it's $15 a month. Subscription to just about anything is how our money gets frittered away. Shame on Amazon - don't they make enough money already?
