Toyota Mirai : India's First Hydrogen Fuel Car

Japanese auto maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced India’s first hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric car and are planning to test on Indian roads very soon. The new electric car is named as Mirai' which means 'future' in Japanese.

Toyota and the government’s testing agency International Centre for Automotive Technology  have started conducting a pilot project to evaluate the Toyota Mirai hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) on Indian roads and climatic conditions.

Toyota claims that this hydrogen fuel cell battery pack car is capable of running 600 km in a single charge and the refuelling time is only 5 minutes.

FCEV, powered by hydrogen, is one of the best zero-emission solutions. It is completely environment-friendly with no tailpipe emissions other than water.
